Pesticide Residues: Our staff has more than 30 years of experience in the analysis of pesticide residues. Our company offers a wide range of services related to this field: Multi-Residue Methods (gas-liquid chromatography), dithiocarbamates, ethephon, aluminium phosetil, Phytoregulators (ANA, ANAMIDA, 4-CPA, 2,4-D, etc.), QUATs and Biocides (quaternary ammonium salt), amitraz and metabolites, herbicides, Glyphosate, Glufosinate and AMPA, organostannic compounds and other tests upon customer’s request.
Alimentary security: we offer alimentary security through a wide variety of analyses, such as: veterinary residues, mycotoxines and phycotoxines, nitrofurans and metabolites, volatile and biogenic amines, colourings, alimentary additives, etc. Likewise, LAB performs microbiological analyses in all types of waters, surfaces, food and air.
Pesticide Residue Analysis: More than 50% of the analyses requested by our clients are pesticide residue analyses. For that reason, LAB is highly specialized in this type of analysis and we offer an extensive pesticide scanning test, as well as accredited methods for a concentration lower than 0,010 mg/kg.
Analysis of Phytoregulators and Acidic Herbicides in Fruits and Vegetables.
Heavy Metals Analysis: The presence of certain heavy metals in some quantities may compromise consumers’ health. LAB offers the necessary techniques to detect and quantify this kind of elements in food.
Determination of Nitrates in Fruits and Vegetables: One of the most demanded services is the analysis of nitrates in fruits and vegetables, an essential determination in order to introduce these products in the food market.
Microbiological analysis: We focus on the analysis and determination of Pathogens and Quality Indicators, through which we analyze if the product is suitable or not for consumption.
Analysis of alimentary additives: additives are substances integrated in food in order to improve its appearance, texture, resistance to microorganisms, etc. It is necessary to analyze the quantity of each additive applied to each product for which its use is authorized, assuring the consumer’s security. Colurings are the most analyzed additives: Malachite Green, Leuchomalachite, Cristal Violet and Brilliant Green.
Analysis of Veterinary Residues: With the purpose of protecting animals’ safety, veterinary medicines are absolutely necessary. In the case of food producing animals, it is essential to analyze these products in order to assess possible residues of veterinary medicines.
Analysis of Volatile and Biogenic Amines: these are nitrogen compounds which are found in food and drinks fermented with lactic bacteria. A control of these compounds must be carried out since particular concentrations of them in food may have negative effects on consumers’ health.
Analysis of other contaminants:
- ORGANIC: PAHs, PCBs, PBDEs, NITROSAMINES, SALTS AND ESTERS OF 2,4-D, etc.
- Inorgánicos: Copper, Dulfur, etc.
